The Prince George’s County Economic Development Corp (EDC) has partnered with M&T Bank to launch a new business accelerator program for Latino-owned businesses and entrepreneurs. The program is designed to provide guidance and the skills needed to build strong companies, increase economic growth in P.G. County and create generational wealth in the Latino community.
The Latino Business Accelerator is a seven week long program focusing on business planning, establishing credit, managing bank accounts, marketing, branding and licensing.
The program will run April 20 through June 8 with courses held on Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Prince George’s EDC, 1801 McCormick Drive in Largo, MD. The program will conclude with an awards ceremony for graduates and an opportunity to compete in a $5,000 pitch competition, funded by M&T.
Applications are now being accepted up until April 14. Qualified applicants must be doing business in Prince George’s County and be in good standing.
