Prince George’s County Executive Angela Alsobrooks has appointed another liaison to represent a key area within her office, this time with the Office of Stakeholder Engagement and Affairs.

On June 5, Alsobrooks announced Doretea L. Burton to serve as liaison, a former Special Projects Liaison on the Stakeholder Engagement and Affairs team. In her new role, Burton will serve as the conduit for the 27 municipal leaders and the Office of the County Executive, ensuring the mayors, municipal leaders and staff have a dedicated connection to the Alsobrooks Administration.

“We are excited to have Doretea serve in this new capacity,” said Alsobrooks. “Having worked with our various stakeholder groups, she has a stellar track record of diligence and creativity. Moving into the Municipal Affairs Liaison position is a natural progression, and I look forward to seeing the work that will be done to continue building a bridge between my office and the municipalities we serve.”

Prior to joining County Government, Burton spent two decades as a home educator and leader of a home teaching organization whose mission was to train parents on how to creatively engage their scholars.
