Local non-profit, Y-Knot Inc is hosting a “Backpack Bonanza” community event on August 24 dedicated to equipping students with the tools they need for a successful school year.
The Backpack Bonanza aims to support local families by providing free backpacks filled with school supplies to needy students. The event will feature a variety of activities including:
School Supply Giveaway: Free backpacks and essential school supplies for students.
Fun Activities: Games, face painting, and entertainment for children of all ages.
Resource Fair: Information booths from local organizations offering educational resources and community services.
Food and Refreshments: Complimentary snacks and drinks for attendees.
“We believe every child deserves the opportunity to start the school year with confidence,” said Regina Gibbons, Executive Director of Y-KNOT Inc. “The Backpack Bonanza is our way of giving back to the community and ensuring that students have the necessary tools to succeed.”
The event is open to elementary school students, but registration is required. Families can register by visiting http://www.yknotinc.org. We encourage families to arrive early, as supplies are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
